Spa Etiquette

This guide may not cover all the questions you may have, but our staff is more than happy to answer any of those remaining questions you may have.

When should I arrive for my reservation?

If it is your first time at Balance it is best to try and be at the Spa approximately 15 minutes prior to your appointment time. This will allow you time to fill out any paperwork that may be required.

What if I have special health considerations?

Please notify our Front Desk any time before your treatment. High blood pressure, heart condition, recent surgeries or injuries, undergoing cancer treatment/or currently have cancer, diabetes, allergies, medications or pregnancy are of special priority.

What about my jewelry and valuables?

If possible please do not bring to the spa. We apologize but we will not be responsible for any loss.

What do I wear during my treatment?

Most body treatments are enjoyed without clothing. However, please wear what is comfortable for you. Disposable clothing is available upon request. For Spray Tanning we suggest loose clothing.

Should men shave before a facial?

Shaving is not necessary but it is recommended. If you do choose to shave prior to your facial, be sure to do so at least two hours prior to your scheduled appointment.

What is the Cancellation Policy?

Balance offers a generous 24 hour cancellation policy. Treatments cancelled within 24 hours will be charged half of the service fee. No show will be charged the full service fee. Group cancellation policy is 5 days. Should you wish to cancel your group reservation, please notify us 5 days prior to your reservation time to avoid paying the full service fee.

Late for your appointment?

If you are arriving late for a service, your treatment will end at the scheduled time if the next guest will be delayed. The value of your full service will be applied.

What about payment for spa services?

We accept all major credit cards except Discover, *Balance face and Body Wellness Gift Cards, Cash, Spa Finder Gift Cards, Spa Wellness Gift Cards. *We do not accept group-on.

**Balance Face and Body Wellness is under new ownership as of 2016; Gift Cards purchased prior to 2016 will not be honored.

What about gratuities?

If you enjoyed your service, each Therapist at Balance is very grateful for any gratuity. However, a good rule of thumb is 20% of the entire service dollar. *Cash Tips Are Preferred.

We welcome any and all questions you may have regarding etiquette at Balance Face and Body Wellness and sincerely look forward to your visit with us.
